Your Customer Shouldn't Be Your Quality Inspector

By Imtiaz Ahmad · 2026-10-17

One expired pack reaches one customer. The complaint goes public. Apologies, refunds, a damaged reputation — and the worst part is, you find out about the expiry from the customer, not from your own shelf.

Expiry is not a carelessness problem. It is a visibility problem. Nobody remembers every batch date on every shelf. By the time someone checks, the under-30-days stock has become the expired stock.

The fix is a guard that watches the dates for you:

Every item's expiry tracked by batch. Red flags for under 30 days, amber for under 90, green for safe — the risk is visible at a glance. Near-expiry items go on discount to clear before they die. Dead stock gets removed before a customer ever sees it. The dashboard even shows how much value you rescued.

The customer should never be your quality inspector. Let the system inspect first.

Stock with expiry dates? DM me "STOCK" — I will show you the guard in action.
